Jon Burton is a sound engineer with many years of experience, working at the highest level, primarily as a concert touring engineer. In recent years Jon has predominantly been a FOH engineer but additionaly, has also spent many years doing monitors. Jon also has experience as a recording studio engineer as well as engineering for broadcast, for both TV and radio. Jon has worked for a large number of artists in a long and varied career.
Jon is currently the FOH sound engineer for a number of artists. Most noteably; The Prodigy, Biffy Clyro and Richard Hawley, in recent years artists have also included: Bombay Bicycle Club, DJ Fresh, Pendulum and Booka Shade.
When not on tour, Jon teaches at The University of Derby on their Live Sound and Lighting Degree Course. Jon has also taught all around the UK and abroad, delivering lectures and masterclasses at universities and events, such as PLASA.
Futhermore, Jon is a partner, alongside fellow engineer Dave Hadley, in the Laundry Rooms, a recording studio complex in Sheffield which hosts 5 rooms in addition to a central live room.
